The client is "Basilica," a new local coffee company seeking to establish a strong market presence. The company's vision is to blend the rich tradition of coffee enjoyment with the grandeur of basilica-style architecture, creating a unique cultural and aesthetic experience for customers.
The Challenge
The primary challenge was to develop a brand identity that resonates with the architectural elegance and historical significance of basilicas, while also appealing to modern coffee lovers. The brand needed to stand out in a crowded market by fostering a deep connection with its audience through a distinctive thematic concept and visual identity.
My Solution
To address this challenge, I crafted a visual identity that incorporates the structural and aesthetic elements of basilica architecture. The logo and design motifs echo the shapes and patterns of basilicas, such as the double colonnades and the curved apse. The colour palette features a deep green to symbolise growth and community, complemented by warm browns and creams, reflecting the rich and inviting colours of coffee. This approach not only connects with the architectural theme but also enhances the overall customer experience, positioning "Basilica" as a unique and engaging coffee brand in the local market.
